Science

Alright, here's a question for you science people. When I was home schooled, my Mom did a section in science about how the continents used to be all together. Apparently, that is one theory that creation and evolution sort of coincide on. I guess. Now, today in my geology class, my teacher was talking about that, and she said that they used to be together, but it's taken hundreds of millions of years for them to be in the position they are now in. I know that the earth is not that old. However, the continents really do shift super slowly, so that if they did used to be together, it would have either taken one huge cataclysmic event, like a mondo earthquake, or a LONG time for them to get where they are. How does this work? It doesn't seem like it would be a theory supported by creation.

small world

Last night I had my first Fundamentals of Pub. Speaking class, and part of the time we were paired up so that we could interview each other and then present our partner to the class, as a basic first speech. Amazingly enough, the guy I got paired up with was named Ryan Mafnas. There was a Ryan Mafnas on my high school swim team. I recognized the last name, so I asked him what high school he went to. Turns out, it's the same guy. So we got to talk a little bit about the coaches, and laughed some about how they were always yelling at him to stop whatever it was he was doing that he wasn't supposed to be. Which is really why I knew the name. He got on Varsity his Junior year, and didn't hang out with any of the kids that I did, so I didn't know him, but I did know the name. He didn't know me, so it was kind of a nice surprise. :)

Lame-O

At least that's how it seems. I laid around the house and did not leave all day. I didn't exactly do nothing, I stained my new belt, made and cleaned up funnel cakes(they actually worked!!! :) ) cleaned up the dog messes outside, and played with patches a little bit. But for the most part, I slept, and sat in front of the T.V. In my defense, I did try to get a hold of one of my friends and do something, but since she was gone all day, I didn't really leave the house. I do that sometimes at school too. Like on the rare occasion when I didn't have work, and my classes were canceled (I think that happened once) I slept until 2:30, and then did nothing else all day. I just didn't feel like it. Either that, or I had nobody to do anything with. Now I'm sitting here at the computer and again am doing nothing. Granted, it's 9:30, but it ONLY 9:30!!! My conclusion? I have no life. Problem? I'm tired of having no life. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix this problem, please let me know!

Pray for her

One of my friends has gotten herself into some trouble. She is dealing with a lot of emotional pain right now, and basically isn't making wise choices. She dropped out of school, and is currently living with her boyfriend and his family. She DOES understand that she is beibng to hurtful to those around her and knows that she is not following God right now, but also just isn't ready to give up yet. She needs prayer and lots of it. Please pray for her and her family.
